OverviewTechnical Sales Advisor – Italy (Home-Based)Location: Northern Italy (Home-Based, with occasional travel across North Europe)Business Unit : Orbia B&I (Wavin) – North EuropeWe are currently looking for Technical Sales Advisor - Urban Climate Resilience to join us in Italy, Wavin Italia S.P.A. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.Main purposeThe role as a Senior Advisor is to combine engineering know-how with business sense to help our customers and instruct the Project Support office or UCR Design & Engineering.Major focus on shaping the client vision in the market, create opportunities to sell the integrated UCR solutions, and support customers through the design phase of their projects. Build and share market intelligence understanding of customers, markets, competitors, products, and applications taking a strategic role in the development of our solution portfolio & products.ResponsibilitiesPosition Wavin as relevant partner for decision makers in the stormwater management environmentAct as trusted advisor on climate resilience for our clients and stormwater managementDrive the execution of the UCR go-to-market strategy in the countryDesign and calculate on project levelGuide and support the sales team to secure the achievement of objectives in terms of market position, growth and profitabilityAccountable for own sales results and Individual Sellar PlanProactively seeks and realizes new business opportunitiesUtilizes CRM as a tool to manage the UCR business in the country. Keeps customer accounts updated, logs regular F2F meetings for target accounts and shares account development progressPlan and work according to SAMBA methodology and apply the relevant tools in the different phases, coaching sales team membersResponsible for building up a solid project pipeline within the UCR businessAct as the technical point of contact for the sales team and customers, coordinate technical request and solve issuesBuild and share market intelligence – understanding of customers, markets, competitors, products, and applicationsTranslate from legislative text to business language and propositions (and vice versa)Positive engagement towards Health and Safety following all guidelinesQualificationsM.Sc. relevant to one or more solution areas, e.G. hydraulic engineering, civil engineering, stormwater management, water treatment, urban planning, or similar field7+ years of relevant professional experience as (technical / commercial)Experienced technical professional and have worked for example at engineering companies, or end-client’s engineering teams.Technical background and experience in design, evaluation and construction of stormwater management or similar Urban Climate Resilience systems is beneficialCan inspire and transform client pains into demand – you have experience in interacting with clients on their technical level and a proven track-record of winning projects and understanding full project scopesProficiency with both CRM, project management and PowerPoint, ExcelKnowledge of the local market opportunities and challengesTeam player, motivator and excellent communicator with an entrepreneurial drive
