Position Overview
The Technical Account Manager, reporting to the Beauty & Personal Care Business Manager, is responsible for the technical aspects of sales within the Commercial Area, focusing on the Personal Care sector. This role involves coordinating with the Commercial Account Manager to follow, develop, and maintain customer relationships, emphasizing technical support and product development.
Main Responsibilities

Develop effective customer relationships and actively seek new product opportunities.
Prepare technical presentations on cosmetic formulations for R&D departments.
Support customers’ R&D departments technically.
Visit customers on high-profitability projects, build relationships, and ensure technical reliability.
Follow the sales cycle including proposals, samples, and visits.
Monitor competitive activity and develop new perspectives proactively.
Represent suppliers and exchange market information while maintaining compliance standards.
Stay updated on technological innovations, regulatory changes, and legislation.
Keep the CRM system current, generating target business opportunities for growth.

Establish and maintain relationships with customers.
Analyze the market including customers, applications, and competitors.
Identify potential markets and customers in Italy.
Visit potential and existing customers.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations.
Manage customer needs and offer after-sales support.
Provide technical documentation and collaborate with the sales team.
Support marketing efforts through trade fairs and events.
Participate in industry training and seminars.
Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and developments.
Support the sales team with technical expertise on specific products or projects.
Develop close relationships with customers’ technical teams.
Participate in training to stay updated on products and applications.
Anticipate and meet customer and supplier needs, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Prepare technical webinars for customers.
Ensure customer and supplier prospects influence corporate decisions.

Profile

Background in Chemistry, Cosmetic Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields.
Knowledge of the cosmetic market and raw materials.
Experience in distributing chemical, cosmetic, or specialized products.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Strong interpersonal skills and results-oriented mindset.
Operational autonomy with excellent planning and organization skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work cross-functionally.
Motivated, curious, enthusiastic, and open-minded.
Willingness to travel.
