Role Description:The Tax Specialist is responsible for managing tax compliance and ensuring adherence to local gaap and IFRS/USA gaap tax regulations. This role provides operational support to the Finance team in accounting and administrative activities, contributing to the accurate management of the company’s financial flows.Key Responsibilities:Manage periodic tax obligations (VAT, direct taxes, withholdings, F24 filings, etc.)Prepare annual tax returns and mandatory communicationsContinuously monitor Italian and European tax regulationsOversee digital archiving and document digitization processesSupport tax planning and risk management activitiesCollaborate with tax consultants, auditors, and relevant authoritiesParticipate in tax audits, inspections, and due diligence activitiesAssist the Finance team with accounting and administrative tasks (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)Manage electronic invoicing processesMaintain tax documentation and registersRequirements:Degree in Economics or related fieldsProven experience in tax management, preferably in structured companies or professional firmsIn-depth knowledge of Italian tax regulations and key international tax principlesFamiliarity with digital archiving and compliance processesExcellent command of Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)Good written and spoken EnglishAccuracy, confidentiality, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsTeamwork attitude and operational flexibilityAhlstrom is a global leader in combining fibers into sustainable specialty materials.
