Act as a senior technical advisor in support of the Navy’s Maritime Operations Centers (MOC). Support shore-based numbered Fleet Commanders (C6F) and other Combatant Commands within the AOR. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and maintenance assistance for problems crossing multiple Navy systems and provide training on those systems. Lead and coordinate troubleshooting with other shore and afloat Fleet Systems Engineers. Responsible for daily operations of multiple MOC systems, including systems administration, network engineering, end-user support, requirements analysis, planning, systems integration, and engineering. Serve as a senior technical advisor to the N2 / 3 / 6 staff and MOC watch team. Top Secret clearance required (may require TS / SCI at some sites).Candidate will manage daily operations of the NAVEUR CMFN, including systems administration, network engineering, end-user support, requirements analysis, planning, systems integration, and engineering. Provide senior technical advice to the N2 / 3 / 6 staff and MOC watch team.ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site troubleshooting and maintenance for multiple Navy systems, providing training and leading troubleshooting efforts with Fleet Systems Engineers.Provide networking support to C4I systems, varying by site.Coordinate repair of C4I systems and provide advisory and engineering services.Support hardware and software upgrades, system architecture, and configuration for MOC systems.Support maintenance of hardware/software, system architecture, and user access for web-based C2 applications.Recommend improvements for application and system utilization, including COP management and network connectivity.Support fast-paced operations, learning and suggesting networking strategies.Assist in network testing post-upgrades and modifications.Support Information Assurance activities, including IA policies, HBSS configuration, cybersecurity inspections, and ACAS administration.Provide support for restoral procedures, rapid response, network documentation, and review security logs and SOPs.Interact with shore and ship-based organizations and end-users.Travel less than 15% of the time.NAVCENT MOC ActivitiesSupport NAVCENT in the Middle Eastern AOR at Naval Support Activity Bahrain, installing and configuring FMV and DCGS-N systems.Perform network hardware/software installation, configuration, and upgrades, interfacing with ship and MOC personnel.Provide training on systems post-configuration.Develop TTPs and support system administration and IA functions in Bahrain.Up to 20% travel may be required, including support at other AOR locations such as Iraq.QualificationsBachelor’s in Information Technology or equivalent experience (8+ years).Preferred Certifications: IAT2, IA, and CE.Experience with Windows or Unix/Linux OS; Cisco certification preferred.Skills in network operations, server virtualization, systems administration (Unix/Windows), FMV, and DCGS-N.Knowledge of fleet communications and military C2 architectures.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to train others.Clearance: Active TS clearance required, SCI may be needed at some sites.V2X is committed to equal employment opportunity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring fairness, respect, and dignity for all individuals, and leveraging diverse perspectives to foster innovation and success.
