The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and optimization of next-generation smart antenna systems, leveraging latest WiFi and 5G platforms, advanced algorithms, and wireless network technologies to enhance coverage, performance, and reliability.Job LocationLegnaro (PD) with flexibility for some remote workingResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop smart antenna systems for WiFi (WiFi7 and WiFi8) and 5G (NR) networks.Work with hardware engineers to integrate antenna systems into communication platforms, ensuring seamless operation and system compatibility.Software Development & IntegrationDesign and develop embedded software for smart antenna controlWrite efficient and high-performance code in C for real-time antenna systems.Algorithm DevelopmentDevelop and optimize algorithms for smart antenna control to enhance coverage, reliability, and performance of WiFi routers, mesh systems and 5G (sub GHz and mmWave) user equipment and repeatersImplement and test algorithms in simulation environments through Python as well as commercial products from major vendorsPerformance Optimization & TestingDesign and conduct system validation and performance testing of smart antennas for WiFi and 5G networks under various operating conditions.Debug and troubleshoot issues related to system integration and software components.Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure optimal performance of the overall systemCollaboration & Technical LeadershipWork closely with RF engineers, hardware designers, and test engineers to ensure the antenna system integrates smoothly with WiFi routers, mesh systems and 5G (sub GHz and mmWave) user equipment and repeatersContribute to the development of technical documentation, including system architectures, interface specifications, and user manuals.Stay updated with the latest research in 5G NR standards, and WiFi advancements.QualificationsEducationMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
