DescriptionJoin Our Team at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center OR TeamWe're looking for dedicated Surgical Technology professionals to join our team.What We Offer:$5k sign-on bonus for external candidates with 1+ years of experience and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new grad techs.Competitive salary, medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, flexible work schedules, and retirement plansWhat You Will DoProvide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using nursing interventions to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health.Provide patient care in a primary scrub position and take responsibility for precepting others in the scrub role.Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures and serve as a resource in an area of expertise.Ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available, in proper working condition, and demonstrate ability to operate service-specific equipment.Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field, adhering to patient safety standards.Support the operative team, including following patient care hand-off protocols and adhering to standards, policies, and procedures in collaboration with an RN/ACN.Actively participate in quality improvement processes.Engage in learning and self-improvement, performing as a knowledge expert and resource for the service line.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), completing annual training and adhering to UH policies and procedures.
