OverviewSupplier Quality Manager role at Hitachi Energy. Power Conversion Solutions (PCS) is a newly formed Global Product Group (GPG) within Hitachi Energy. PCS aims to be a high-performing partner for utilities, IPPs, and integrators by offering products, services, and software. The mission is to drive profitable growth and deliver high-value automation and digital solutions. We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to join the global Quality & Continuous Improvement function and lead efforts to establish and strengthen our supply base worldwide.The OpportunityThis position can preferably be covered in Italy (Milan or Genova) or Spain (Sevilla).How You Will Have An ImpactEnsure the supplier and supply qualification processes are deployed and adhered to, so that active suppliers are, and remain, fully qualified and compliant.Establish and implement clear guidelines to make the qualification process more effective and efficient, in line with Company regulations & instructions.Define quality objectives for Supply Chain and collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager on the PCS supply strategy to ensure quality objectives are met.Support supplier and supply qualifications as well as the continuous auditing of suppliers.Ensure that supplier nonconformities are resolved quickly and, where required, that the necessary process improvements are identified and implemented by the supplier.Establish guidelines for periodic review of supplier nonconformities to identify clusters of issues for local or global supplier improvement initiatives.Ensure execution of effective and timely RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for supplier quality issues.Coordinate with project managers, supporting PCS and 3rd party product delivery.Conduct Internal Audits as required by the PCS Internal Audit program.Your BackgroundBachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field with extensive experience in supplier quality management.Experience managing supply and supplier quality processes and leading APQP, PPAP, and FAI activities.Certification in related disciplines (Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Auditing, etc.) is meritorious.Strong ability to influence and lead with personal leadership.Effective communication and negotiation skills across senior leadership, individual contributors, and global remote multicultural teams.Proficiency in spoken and written English.More About UsWe offer a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing, as well as personal development.
