Serves as Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) and Operations Intelligence (OP INTEL) (G-2) Directorate Network Manager of U.S. Army Africa (USARAF).
Responsible for all facets of operational automation data processing related to networks, centers, deployed operations, and systems administration functions.
Manage and oversee staff responsible for all classified networks.
Evaluate system requirements and allocate appropriate resources, both human and system, to meet intelligence needs.
Analyze user requirements and provide recommendations to address system and network needs.
Manage and support SCIF systems, networks, and Information Management requirements.
Lead the branch in supporting development, testing, and implementation of USARAF G2's tactical and strategic Intelligence Information Systems.
Exercise technical and administrative supervision over professional, technical, and support staff.
Plan and assign work, set priorities and deadlines, review work products, and approve or reject them.
Requirements

Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
Must pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
May be required to work weekends/holidays or on shifts during crises or operational tasks.
Up to 15% TDY may be required.
Must sign statements regarding understanding of CIPMS/DCIPS provisions and mobility agreements.
Position is designated Key and as a DoD key position, it shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without impairing agency capability.
Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement upon entering and annually.

Experience Requirements
At least one year of experience designing, implementing, operating, or maintaining IT network services, troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues, or resolving communications deficiencies, comparable to GS-12 level.
