Position Title: Subsea Structure Engineer (Shallow‑Water Offshore Project)

The Subsea Structure Engineer is responsible for engineering design, verification, installation support, and integrity assurance of subsea structures used in shallow‑water offshore developments. These include manifolds, PLETs, PLEMs, jumpers, tie‑in structures, pipeline supports, and foundations.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Analysis
Perform structural strength, global/local analysis, and fatigue assessments.
Evaluate hydrodynamic loading and soil‑structure interaction.
Review FE models using ANSYS, Abaqus, SACS, OrcaFlex.
Ensure compliance with DNV, API 17D, API RP 2A, ISO 13628.
Structural Layout & Deliverables
Develop GA drawings, structural layouts, foundations, mudmats.
Review protection structures (mattresses, rock dumping).
Prepare interface drawings with pipeline, controls, and umbilicals.
Installation Engineering Support
Provide input for lifting design, rigging, and handling.
Review procedures for lowering, positioning, and tie‑in.
Support offshore campaigns during load‑out, transport, and installation.
Interface & Coordination
Coordinate with pipeline, controls, umbilical, and geotechnical disciplines.
Support fabrication yard (welding, NDT, coatings).
Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, and model reviews.
Material & Fabrication Support
Review WPS/PQR, NDT plans, coatings, and fabrication tolerances.
Support FAT/SIT related to structural components.
Integrity & Operational Support
Support in‑service integrity assessment.
Review ROV/Diver inspection and as‑built reports.
Update structural models for life‑of‑field evaluation.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
Master's degree in Offshore/Structural/Ocean Engineering (preferred).
5–12 years of subsea/offshore structural engineering experience.
Proficiency with ANSYS, Abaqus, SACS, or OrcaFlex.
Knowledge of API, DNV, ISO standards.
Offshore exposure (installation, inspection, FAT/SIT) preferred.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interface skills.
