For the Central Team of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), we are looking for a Strategic Project Manager – Insurance Office to join our Insurance Office department. Reporting directly to the GC&C Chief of Insurance, this role requires a proactive and strategic leader who combines robust project management expertise with strong business acumen and strategic thinking. You will lead high‑impact initiatives that drive GC&C’s growth and transformation and work closely with senior stakeholders across central and local teams, as well as with Group functions, ensuring alignment and execution of key priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, executive‑facing environments and is skilled at translating complex strategies into actionable, measurable plans using structured project management methodologies. You will also collaborate with the GC&C CEO Office to ensure alignment with the broader strategic agenda.
Main responsibilities
Strategic Project Management
Leading and coordinating cross‑functional and cross‑country strategic projects, from planning to delivery, ensuring they meet defined objectives, deadlines and budgets
Developing structured project frameworks, timelines and tracking tools to support initiative execution across departments
Anticipating roadblocks and proactively driving resolution of issues that may impact delivery
Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes, tools and frameworks
Preparing high‑quality deliverables, including dashboards, strategic updates, presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership including CEO Office, as required
Providing data‑driven insights to support prioritization, resource allocation and performance evaluation
Stakeholders management
Engaging with key stakeholders both within GC&C and outside GC&C (e.g. Generali Group referents, other BUs referents, external suppliers, etc.) to understand their requirements, manage expectations and ensure alignment around project goals, outcomes and milestones
Facilitating coordination between teams to ensure consistency and coherence across projects and initiatives
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Master’s degree in Business, Economics or other quantitative disciplines
5‑7 years of experience in Strategy implementation or Project Management roles, ideally with a background in consulting (Tier 1 firms, Big 4s) or in‑house strategy teams
Experience in managing cross‑functional initiatives with executive visibility and in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge in Project Management methodologies (certifications are a plus)
Good knowledge of the insurance sector (trends, players, products, processes)
Excellent analytical mindset, organizational and communication skills
Proactivity and problem‑solving approach
Ability to synthesize complexity, navigate ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders
Fluency in Business English, additional languages are an advantage (Italian, French)
