EUR 35.000 - 45.000How can you make a difference?This position sits in the Chief Statistician's Office. Under the supervision of the Statistics & Monitoring Specialist (P4), the Statistics and Monitoring Officer (P2), Nutrition will support improving the quality, relevance, availability and use of data and contextual information on children and women throughout UNICEF. UNICEF maintains global databases on a large number of nutrition indicators and convenes partners and experts to review and provide technical guidance on nutrition monitoring in several areas as child malnutrition, infant and young child feeding etc. The main functions of this job are to support data collection, analyses and database management of nutrition related indicators of primary concern to UNICEF, including with quality assurance of data; to assist in the analysis of core nutrition outcome and intervention coverage results in the MICS and DHS and other nationally representative surveys and some programme monitoring data; disseminating findings through different types of media (e.g. website and reports); and to support other interagency related activities. Work responsibilities will be performed in close collaboration with all Unit team members as well as other staff in the section and the division, UNICEF's Programme Group, other UN agencies, organizations, and inter‑agency groups.
