Our client specializes in renewable energy and, in particular, in the research, development and prototyping of new green batteries and long-duration energy storage systemsThe role:Lead and supervise with a "hands-on" approach the development and optimization of electrolyte formulations, designing advanced solutions using analytical characterization techniques, stability testing and chemical-physical analysisConduct technology scouting activities to identify crossover and imbalance mitigation strategies existing in other electrochemical sectors, evaluate their applicability to our client's systems and minimize performance gapsAnalyze the landscape of materials compatible with our client's project, identify opportunities for new formulations and interface with suppliers of membranes, electrodes and contact components when necessaryInterface with industrial partners and suppliers in order to transform "laboratory" formulations into truly scalable production processes, defining QC procedures and acceptance criteriaSupervise junior chemists and laboratory technicians, ensuring methodological consistency and alignment between experimental results, defined operating windows and scale-up requirements for manufacturingMandatory skills:Master's degree or PhD in chemistry/chemical engineering, materials science or equivalent qualificationPrevious experience of at least 5years in the development of electrolyte formulations and/or research projects in the electrochemical field, preferably with focus on chemical analysis, analytical characterization and materials compatibilityA proven ability to conduct structured laboratory experiments with high reproducibility, including skills in analytical techniques (titration, spectroscopy, conductivity/viscosity) and rigorous technical documentation is a mandatory requirementExcellent level of English (B2 minimum)The knowledge of italian language level C1 or C1 is ideal but not mandatoryLocation:Rho (MI)
