As a Sr. Staff Application Engineer in our Renesas Power Computing BU, you will be a key player in driving innovation and exploring state-of-the-art topologies for DC/DC converters, delivering the increasing power required by modern AI/compute ASICs. This dynamic market demands smart ideas, quick execution, and flexibility. You will engage with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, IC design, application, packaging, technology, and marketing, providing foresight in electrical, magnetic, electronic, and digital areas.The role involves working with a team of experienced engineers in power converter design, implementation, and testing. You will contribute from proof of concept to detailed simulation models and define new silicon products aimed at increasing power density, reliability, reducing costs, and enhancing scalability and flexibility.Part of your responsibilities includes correlating and collecting bench data, updating, tuning, and improving converters, and customizing solutions based on customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role supports technology pathfinding and execution through comprehensive modeling throughout the product lifecycle.
