Company OverviewSPACE INDUSTRIES is a dynamic and rapidly growing company operating in the aerospace sector, with a strong commitment to innovation, reliability, and mission excellence.The company supports complex space programs and provides end-to-end mission operations, ensuring high standards of performance and operational success.Position OverviewSPACE INDUSTRIES is seeking an experienced and skilled Space Facility Test Operator to support environmental testing activities and ensure the highest quality and reliability of flight hardware and satellite systems.The selected candidate will operate and manage environmental test facilities (such as thermal vacuum chambers, vibration systems, thermal cycling benches, and EMC setups) and execute test campaigns in compliance with aerospace standards (ECSS, ESA, NASA).This is a hands-on, technical role requiring precision, autonomy, and solid knowledge of environmental test procedures for space hardware.Main ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain environmental test facilities, including Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) chambers, Vibration systems, Thermal Cycling, and EMC test setupsExecute environmental test campaigns on small satellite platforms, subsystems, and components, following approved test proceduresEnsure full compliance with ECSS standards and customer requirements during test executionPrepare and review test documentation: Test Procedures, Test Reports, and LogbooksMonitor test parameters, collect and analyze data, and report anomalies or deviationsSupport test preparation activities: integration of units under test (UUT), instrumentation setup, and safety checksCollaborate with AIT, Product Assurance, and Engineering teams to define test plans and resolve issuesMaintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with calibration schedulesSupport external audits and customer inspections in the test facilityContribute to continuous improvement of testing procedures and facility operationsRequirementsTechnical diploma or degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related disciplinesMinimum 3-5 years of experience in environmental testing within the aerospace sectorStrong knowledge of ECSS standards and space test methodologies (vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, EMC)Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors (thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure sensors), and instrumentation softwareFamiliarity with test procedure writing, data analysis, and report generationHands-on experience with flight hardware handling, ESD protection, and cleanroom operationsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamGood command of English (written and spoken)Driving license: category BPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in Small Satellite programs or ESA/ASI projectsCertification or training in environmental testing or space AIT operationsKnowledge of safety standards and facility maintenance for test environmentsBenefitsWhat We Offer:A dynamic and stimulating work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Metalmeccanico (CCNL) with compensation based on experience and skills.SPACE INDUSTRIES is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within its workplace and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.Why Join Us?A unique opportunity for professional growth in a young and dynamic aerospace company.The chance to work on innovative projects with a global impact in the small satellite sector.A stimulating and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to contribute to shaping the company's future strategies.
