Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers including public sector.As a Solutions Architect, primary responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and driving customer success, developing a deep expertise on the AWS technology stack as well as broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform and planning their successful cloud journey. You’ll solve complex technical challenges so customers can focus on their business, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and driving in technical solution discussions.Building relationships to understand our customers and partners is key. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalentCloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certificationExperience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiencesExperience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloudExperience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.15 years’ experience as a Solution Architect or related role.Preferred QualificationsBackground in any other following or related to Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Software Developer, Engineering Lead, Sales Engineer, Pre‑Sales Engineer or Systems Engineer, etc.Experience and/or deeper understanding in one or more technology areas. Specific knowledge in multiple technology domain areas (e.g., software development/architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).Can create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.Understands and can articulate common architectural patterns and design principles.Can take the lead on a complex technical project, which may require the participation of other teams to deliver.Able to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
