OverviewSoftware Development Manager, Prime Video X-Ray Client Experiences — lead a software team responsible for building scalable, reliable services that deliver live sports, movies, series, seasons, and episodes to millions of customer devices. You will brainstorm, design, and launch green field features and client experiences across platforms and geographies, while engineering the next generation of applications across our ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesLead a software team responsible for building scalable, reliable services that can serve millions of usersHire, manage, mentor and grow a high performance team of Software EngineersProvide technical expertise and leadership throughout product life cycles; influence software engineering best practices for your team and own operational metricsWork with business leaders and product managers to define product requirementsInfluence and adopt industry standards for building client experiencesPrioritize, communicate, maintain, and execute road maps, project plans, and commitmentsWork with engineers to define technical requirements and architect and implement best-in-class solutions in an agile mannerBuild and maintain world-class customer experience and operational excellence for your deliverablesFluency with GenAI based software development practicesBasic Qualifications7+ years of engineering experience3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of experience leading development of applications backed by AWS services or other cloud technologiesKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teamsExperience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyExperience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectivenessOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
