ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is energized by owning software projects from requirements through to support.Partner with customers to design and deliver on challenging problems; be detail oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
About the teamBased in Madison, WI, our team of 10 Software Development Engineers supports Amazon Subsidiaries, including Shopbop and Zappos, within the Fashion, Fitness and Creators division. We develop and maintain mission-critical applications and systems that support daily operations across multiple teams, including Creative Photo Studio, Catalog Operations, and Merchandising. Our data integrates with front-end development teams who manage both native platforms and Amazon Marketplace presence.
Basic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languageKnowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellenceBachelor's degree or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
