OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help Startups get started and grow on AWS. You will develop and productionize software that is stable, performant and scalable, delivering on time and addressing customer needs. You will prioritize work with minimal guidance and solve complex, ambiguous problems using appropriate technologies and best practices to drive data-driven product improvements and scalable solutions for the startup customer experience.Key responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet business requirements and customer needsLead technical solutions from conception through deployment, including architecture decisions and implementation strategiesParticipate in full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and other engineering teamsMentor junior engineers and contribute to improving the team\'s technical practicesWrite high-quality, well-tested code following best practices and coding standardsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentationDrive operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvementBasic Qualifications5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations)Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering teamPreferred QualificationsMaster\'s degree in computer science or equivalent1+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, working on agent systems or LLM applicationsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
