Job SummaryThe licensed clinical social worker will provide outpatient therapy to adults in the Psychiatry Faculty Practice (PFP) at Upstate Medical University's Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities include providing individual DBT-based psychotherapy. We plan to expand the use of online AI technology to enhance psychotherapy where part of the treatment is computerized. We expect this person to become the expert locally after training in this type of therapy modality and to engage in training and supervising others.ResponsibilitiesProvide outpatient therapy to adults in the Psychiatry Faculty Practice (PFP).Deliver individual DBT-based psychotherapy.Support expansion of online AI technology to enhance psychotherapy as part of treatment.Become the local expert after training in this therapy modality and engage in training and supervising others.Minimum QualificationsNew York State LCSW social worker from an accredited training program with a practice focus on adult psychiatric patients.Preferred QualificationsSome experience or training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is preferred; will train to expert level provider in DBT.Work DaysMonday through Friday days
