Meet your new team!
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing plants based in Ciano D Enza – Canossa (RE), Italy. You will be responsible for developing an operational strategy aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity, improving yields and ensuring that products meet the needs of the business and customer requirements for quality and delivery in a safe environment and within budgetary constraints.
What would your role look like?
This role is critical in ensuring that production processes align with business goals, meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, and fulfill customer delivery expectations—all while optimizing cost efficiency. Working under limited direction, the Site Manager will be responsible for the safety, productivity, and overall performance of the site. This includes collaborating with cross‑functional teams in production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Duties and responsibilities
Secure compliance with local law and Oterra standards on safety, quality and environment in collaboration with global functions.
Lead the site management team ensuring optimal collaboration across functions like HR, sourcing, customer service, etc. working in compliance with agreed vision, Oterra policies and guidelines and local regulations.
Develop and manage teams to meet business and production objectives maintaining good engagement rates.
Lead improvement projects ensuring compliance with schedule, budget and quality.
Participate actively in the global organization and build an effective network with key stakeholders, ensuring communication regarding activities of manual interest and focus.
Represent the company with government authorities and other entities such as labor unions.
Define budget site and secure execution and adherence in Opex and Capex.
Define, manage and execute projects to improve performance of operations and reporting the relevant KPI’s.
Direct responsibility for developing the operational excellence in his‑her area of responsibility.
Secure supply of product to the demand in coordination with procurement‑ sourcing and global supply chain teams.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced profile. To succeed in this role, you need to communicate clearly, make decisions in a complex and uncertain environment, and approach problems with a problem‑solver mindset.
Experience And Skills Required
University degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and related careers.
Fluent level of Italian & English; additional language is a plus.
Experience in positions managing team of blue‑collars in shift operations.
Experience in supply chain area.
Experience of leading or implementing operational excellence methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.) and KPIs.
Budget management.
Ability to manage multiple and high‑level priorities concurrently.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs and SAP.
