Shoes Designer (Maternity leave replacement) - MILANOCompany DescriptionSergio Rossi, the made-in-Italy luxury footwear brand established in 1951 that is 100% controlled by Lanvin Group, the global luxury fashion group of Fosun, is currently looking for a Designer hired on a maternity leave replacement contract to be based in the HQs offices.The ideal candidate will be part of the Design Team and will report to the Head of Design.PositionHe/she will be involved in the following main activities:Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and Junior Designer to develop seasonal footwear collections from concept to prototypeClose collaboration with the Creative Director among the listed working relationshipsResearch global fashion trends, materials, and technologies to inspire innovative and commercially viable designsCreate detailed technical drawings (by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) programs), mood boards, and color/material specificationsTranslate brand identity and market needs into creative footwear conceptsWork closely with product development, merchandising, wholesale and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost effectivenessSupport sample development, provide constructive feedback, and help maintain alignment with the overall design visionStay informed on competitor products and consumer insights to guide design decisionsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field3-5 years of proven experience as a footwear designer, preferably within luxury brandsExcellent drawing abilityProficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D design tools)Solid knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processesKnowledge of the shoes market and its future trends, colors, and consumer preferencesFluent English and willingness to travel to the production siteExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
