What You Will Do
As a Shipping Assistant, you will report to the Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor in our plant in Brembate - Italy - and play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the logistics and warehouse team. You will ensure that all outbound shipments are prepared, documented, and dispatched accurately and efficiently, in compliance with company standards and customer requirements. Your main responsibilities will include:
Managing import & export procedures, intrastat codes, customs documentation, shipping bills, and ATR certificates, as directed by the supervisor
Verifying carrier rates and managing transport providers based on service level, cost, and shipment consolidation
Supporting Customer Service to meet service level agreements
Assisting various departments such as laboratory, production, and HSE
Monitoring compliance with shipping and transport schedules to customers and between storage units
Organizing and managing transport for maintenance, subcontracting, and inter-plant transfers
Entering end-of-month orders, preparing customs and export reports, and verifying invoices
Assisting with inventory activities
Supporting warehouse operations, prioritizing shipment preparation and plant transfers
Who You Are
Your colleagues describe you as someone who takes accountability for their actions, is respectful of others, and remains resilient in the face of change. In addition, you also have:
A high school diploma or vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain, or related fields
Fluent English (spoken and written)
At least 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
Familiarity with shipping software and documentation (e.g., ERP systems, courier platforms)
Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, data entry)
Ability to work in a team and under pressure
You must be within commutable distance of Brembate, Italy and must not require any form of visa sponsorship. **
