OverviewDepartment: Production/WarehouseEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Milan 120Reporting To: Ariel MasonCompensation: $19.00 / hourThe Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments within Group O. They receive, inspect, and process incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality control. Additionally, they prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating with carriers for timely delivery. The role requires diligence, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment. Overall, the ideal candidate combines technical skills, interpersonal qualities, and a strong work ethic to contribute to the smooth and efficient flow of goods within Group O.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and unload incoming shipments, verify, and inspect contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.Pick and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and scheduling pickups with carriers which include creating and submitting advanced shipping notices (ASNs), and posting outbound shipping transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking information and inventory levels.Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and resolve any shipping-related issues.Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.Keep work area clean and organized, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks.Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently, following all manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance job skills and knowledge.Job QualificationsEducation/Certifications:High school diplomaForklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.Skills and QualificationsFamiliarity with shipping software and systemsAbility to work extended and varying schedules as needed, including overtime.Strong diligence and ability to accurately record and track inventory.Excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a demanding environment.Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations related to inventory and shipping metrics and a basic user ability with Microsoft Excel.ExperienceSix + months in a receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping warehouse environment.Preferred ExperienceAt least one year of Material handling / forklift experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift items up to fifty pounds including standing, stooping, and bending for extended periods.BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (Medical and Dependent Care)401(k) Plan with Company MatchGenerous Paid Time Off10.5 Paid HolidaysCareer Development Opportunities
