Senior Technical Program Manager, IES LATech & GIS
As a Technical Program Manager III at Amazon, you will deliver independently with limited guidance, working within a VP organization to influence system owners and architecture decisions. You'll own large, complex cross‑functional technology initiatives and manage their complete lifecycle.
Key job responsibilities
Lead strategic programs and drive innovation
Own delivery timelines for strategic, complex initiatives while helping the team to define solutions
Partner with peers, managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to develop and execute projects
Guide technical teams in solution design, development, and implementation
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership
Drive documentation and knowledge sharing of successful patterns and best practices
Develop and execute mitigation strategies for identified risks and challenges
Maintain regular stakeholder communications through structured reporting
Lead operational reviews to ensure visibility into development progress
Establish metrics and KPIs to track program success and team performance
Actively mentor and develop others
Perform technical promotion assessments

LATech mission is to create technology to enable sustainable growth for Amazon Stores across Latin America, through products, experiments, and solutions that solve local problems for customers and seller partners on a global scale. We are a product, technology, and data science organization with nearly 400 engineers, organized into 40+ cross‑functional teams across 5 divisions: Global Invoicing Services, Shopping, FBA, Chain & Fulfillment, and Machine Learning. We own over 150 services (20 tier‑1) that support the operations of Amazon Stores in 17+ countries.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
