We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives.CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Sr. System Administrator. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners located OCONUS in Germany (Dulmen, Grafenwoehr, Mannheim, Wiesbaden), Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, and Poland (Konotop, Pila, Swietoszow, Zagan). This position is required to travel OCONUS. This position is located OCONUS.Responsibilities:Supports installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades, including cloud-based systemsProvides support and tech expertise in systems technology, including virtual hardware and cloud capabilitiesManages network and systems configurations to improve performance and maintain compliance with cybersecurity ATO requirementsMaintains network Active Directories (ADs), file servers, and print serversAssesses and supports testing of proposed configuration changes and documents configuration changesEnsures configurations enable automated updating (e.g., System Center Configuration Manager)Administers and maintains virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)Ensures system backups, recovery, and storage provisioning are adequate to support Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plansSupports COOP and DR reviews and exercises, including developing plans or scenarios, and implements changes identified and approved as a result of exercisesPerforms routine audits of operating systems, servers, and applicationsSupports forensic audits and provides reports or resolutions for incidentsAnalyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues, including system outagesMonitors response times, evaluating user satisfaction levels and making recommendations for system improvementsInterfaces with vendors/Government/technical staff on technical solutions, system implementation, optimization, and ongoing managementParticipates and contributes to discussions and evaluations of new technologiesPossesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignmentsFunctions as a technical expert across multiple project assignmentsMentors less-experienced personnel and may supervise othersQualifications:Required:Currently hold an adjudicated Secret with ability obtain and maintain a TS/SCI ClearanceYears of Experience: 8 - 12Education: BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience consideredCertification: Required 8140.03 Cert - 451 - Intermediate and additional Cert - Not ApplicableDoD 8140.03 Compliant: Approved CertificationsExhibits mastery of operating system management and network administration, with particular emphasis on cloud-based systems and virtual environments.Possesses comprehensive knowledge of system configurations, cybersecurity compliance, and performance optimization techniques across complex IT infrastructures.Exhibits strategic expertise in managing active directories, file servers, and virtualization platforms such as VMware, ensuring robust system backups and storage provisioning for continuity of operations and disaster recovery.Excels in troubleshooting and resolving advanced system hardware, software, and networking issues, including forensic audits and incident resolution.Commands proficiency in evaluating user satisfaction levels and implementing system improvements to enhance performance.Displays leadership qualities through mentoring junior staff, interfacing with vendors and technical teams, and functioning as a technical expert across multiple high-impact projects. Demonstrates ability to contribute to technology evaluations and drive adoption of innovative solutions in enterprise environments.Currently hold an adjudicated Secret with ability obtain and maintain a TS/SCI ClearanceTESA eligibilityDesired:ITIL v4 – FoundationAutomation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch filesAdaptable to changing circumstances and operational needsUnderstanding of Department of Defense Military standardsExperience with DoD IT security requirementsThis position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
