Senior Surveyor – LRQA – Milan, ItalyJob ID: 42968 | Location: Fondo Atlantic 2, Milan | Category: Surveyor | Type: Employee RegularRole Purpose: To assess the design, manufacture and in‑service aspects of engineering assets, using defined Codes, Standards, specifications, procedures and knowledge appropriate for complex or demanding situations. This role may also include managing projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complex assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.Produce the deliverable within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review and monitor other employee’s work as requested.Discuss/ present the deliverable with the external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.Assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure and within the commercial aspects of the contract, and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and LRQA’s standard terms and conditions.Pursue and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.Develop technical knowledge of other employees, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.Contribute to internal/external client management by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LRQA relationships.Make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.Undertake project management where applicable, including monitoring project progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.RequirementsPossess a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university. A higher degree (e.g., Master’s) may be preferred.Possess sufficient relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant specialist requirements, knowledge and application (likely 6‑10 years).Be addressed within authorisations framework.
