We are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect categories within the Generali group, in particular related to Professional Services and BPO, and contribute to defined saving targets
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and compliance standards, identifying cost reduction and optimization levers
Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation
Establish effective communication with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, HR, Operations, etc) to collect project needs and align with them during the negotiation process
Drive cost optimization and value creation through market intelligence and benchmarking
Support contract management and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures
Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular reporting for senior stakeholders
Develop effective presentations to explain sourcing strategies and Procurement achievements
Requirements
Education & Experience
University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in an international environment
Experience in Consulting is a plus
Languages
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Fluent in German (written and spoken) at least B2
Other European Languages are a plus
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management
Proficient in procurement platforms (eg Ivalua)
Familiarity with risk assessment and compliance frameworks
Soft Skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
High attention to detail and ability to deliver under tight deadlines
Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
Team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
