OverviewThe Senior Specialist, Product Management – Emerging Payment Methods will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of consumer core payments in Europe. This role focuses on emerging payment innovations, including Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), Stablecoins, and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and execution of product strategies for APMs, stablecoins, and CBDCs across European marketsCollaborate with global and regional product teams to ensure alignment, scalability, and regulatory complianceTranslate emerging trends and regulatory developments into product requirements and business opportunitiesPartner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Sales) and external entities (e.g., fintechs, financial institutions, regulators) to drive product commercializationMonitor performance metrics and customer feedback to inform continuous product improvementQualificationsConsolidate experience in product management, strategy, or fintech roles, ideally within payments or digital assetsSolid understanding of the European payments landscape, including APMs, blockchain-based assets, and CBDCsFamiliarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, MiCA, ECB Digital Euro initiatives)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexityExperience working in cross-functional teams and agile environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsFluent in English; additional European languages are a plusWillingness to travel across Europe as neededCorporate Security ResponsibilityAbide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices;Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;Report any suspected information security violation or breach, andComplete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
