Currently, we are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer for XTEL.Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for product design and implementation, supporting field sales management and trade optimization processes, and managing complex planning and execution activities. You will play a key role in transforming the solution to SaaS, focusing on refactoring and service transformation.Senior Back-End Developer will:Lead development and refactoring of advanced product capabilities, analyzing key information and transforming it into insightful technical recommendations;Support design reviews to ensure solutions align with architecture, security, scalability, and maintainability guidelines;Gather requirements, design, implement, deploy, and monitor the product/capabilities in production;Provide development estimates for new features and enhancements in collaboration with the Scrum team;Offer engineering leadership and contribute to engineering standards and best practices;Develop and maintain software ensuring quality, responsiveness, security, modifiability, extensibility, and performance;Collaborate with other team members, including Scrum teams, project managers, UX designers, developers, systems analysts, and sales/marketing professionals, on a SaaS solution based on Microsoft technologies hosted on Azure;Assist in architecting solutions to support field sales management and trade optimization activities.A great candidate will have:Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP);Experience in legacy code refactoring;Proven experience in C# programming;Practical experience applying SOLID principles and Design Patterns;Experience writing Unit Tests & Integration Tests;Fluent English communication skills for daily collaboration across Europe;Knowledge of professional software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations;Experience developing distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications;Experience working within a microservice architecture;Skills in database query performance tuning and troubleshooting;Experience in the Consumer Goods/Retail sector and familiarity with commercial processes such as trade promotions, sales agreements, sales force automation, incentives management, and retail execution will be advantageous.What you will get?A challenging position in a fast-growing Revenue Growth and Trade Promotion Management software company;Being part of a young, international team with a strong ownership mentality;Opportunities to actively contribute to organizational growth;An international, multidisciplinary environment with close collaboration with the business;Flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of hybrid work (company HQ in Bologna).
