Currently, we are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join XTEL. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for product design, implementation, and architecting solutions to support field sales management and trade optimization processes, managing complex planning and execution activities. You will play a key role in transforming the solution into SaaS, focusing on refactoring and creating services.ResponsibilitiesLead development and refactoring of product capabilities, analyzing key information and providing insightful technical recommendations.Support design reviews to ensure solutions adhere to architecture, security, scalability, and maintainability standards.Gather requirements, design, implement, deploy, and monitor SaaS solutions.Provide development estimates for new features and enhancements within a Scrum team.Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and community.Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive, secure, and efficient software.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, UX designers, and sales professionals, mainly on Microsoft technologies hosted on Azure.Assist in architecting solutions for sales management and trade optimization processes.QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Experience in legacy code refactoring.Proficiency in C# programming.Experience applying SOLID principles and Design Patterns.Experience writing Unit and Integration Tests.Fluent English communication skills.Knowledge of full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and testing.Experience developing distributed, scalable, high-volume transaction systems.Experience with microservice architecture.Knowledge of database query performance tuning and troubleshooting.Experience in the Consumer Goods/Retail sector and related processes is a plus.What You Will GetA challenging position in a fast-growing Revenue Growth and Trade Promotion Management software company.Part of a young, international team with strong ownership and a can-do attitude.Opportunities to contribute to organizational growth.An international, multidisciplinary environment with close collaboration with business units.Flexible working options, including hybrid work (company HQ in Bologna).
