JoinJWVenice Position Title : MICE Sales ManagerThe position is accountable for proactively soliciting sales opportunities. related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals. Develops strategic relationships with key MICE segment buyers to penetrate and grow local, national & international market share and drive revenue to the hotel.Minimum 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Sales, Hotel Management, or related major.Premium or Luxury MICE sales experience mandatory.English + Italian required; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German) a plus.Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales OpportunitiesActivities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. The majority of the business trips is concentrated between February & June with an average of 3 weeks travelling.Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.If needed, Assist the reactive sales team to convert the business by generating proposal, writing contract, organizing site inspection etc.Focuses on luxury MICE opportunities from corporate and event planners, meeting organizers, and luxury agencies in Europe & Worldwide with a predominant focus on US market.Works closely with the Director of Sales to align on sales strategy and effective execution for the MICE segment.Analyses the market. Plans and attends relevant trade shows, MICE industry events, corporate meetings, and planner networking events.Partners with Global Sales Offices managing luxury MICE agencies and corporate accounts (BCD, Maritz, HelmsBriscoe, CWT) focused on MICE business.Collaborates with Marketing team on market-level and property-specific MICE strategies and initiatives; Develops deep knowledge of resort amenities, event spaces, meeting packages, and new conference offerings; Gains comprehensive understanding of Marriott’s value proposition and services for the MICE segment, including event technology and dedicated planning resources.Understands competitive landscape and economic environment to position the JW Marriott Venice effectively during the sales process.Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize RevenueIdentifies emerging MICE business opportunities and risks in the market; provides strategic feedback to stakeholders and supports account planning and strategy execution.Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. Closes the best opportunities for the JW Venice based on market conditions and location needs.Services our customers in order to grow share of the account.Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.Marriott International portfolio of brands includes both JW Marriott and Marriott Hotels.Marriott Hotels, Marriott International’s flagship brand with more than 500 global locations, is advancing the art of hosting so that our guests can travel brilliantly.
