You will use your experience with Software as a Service (SaaS), on-premise software, networking, installation, configuration plus excellence in supporting highly impactful PoC’s to support us in our mission to Protect Life and Accelerate Justice. As a member of the Axon EMEA Sales Engineering Team the Sales Engineer supports the sales campaign to communicate the value of and deploy and support evidence capture devices, digital evidence management solutions SaaS and on-premise solutions to Public Safety Agencies across Italy. The Sales Engineer is a quota carrying, customer-facing front line role that facilitates and influences product enhancements and the deployment of Axon Enterprise’s products and solutions.Location: Rome, ItalyReports to: EMEA UK&I Sales Engineering DirectorSupport the technical and value aspects of the sales effort across territory which will include: impactful and compelling technical presentations, architecture design discussions, competitive displacement, proof-of-concept engagements, leading RFP/RFI responses, solution demonstrations and technical workshops with customers and partnersSupport the smooth transition of the sales opportunity into successful delivery by our Professional Services and/or Partner network.Consistently research, network and ideate to become the regional “go to” resource for future solution opportunities, product roadmap development and thought leadershipPresent and evangelise Axon technical & business value propositions at industry eventsDevelop in-depth technical knowledge of AXON and domain expertise within technology subject areaDocument customer feature requests and issues, providing feedback to sales and product managementProvide support to product Test and EvaluationsExecute customer site assessments targeting technology infrastructure assessmentsTransfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers and colleaguesProactively plan to prevent pre and post sales issues to shorten time to revenueWhat You BringA natural and enthusiastic aptitude for technology plus the ability to communicate its value using compiling and contextualised stories to anyone from any backgroundConfidence to own and professionally drive customers to successful outcomes with Axon solutions.A “self starter” - ability to identify what tasks need your ownership and when you should collaborate.Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering fields) or equivalent experienceWilling to travel significantly (70%), some travel internationallyMust have a valid Passport and Clean Driving License8+ years experience as a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer or similar related fieldKnowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialisations: Digital Video, Mobile communications, IP Engineering, IP security, Embedded Systems, IAM, SAASStrong understanding of CCTV systems, VMS, network technologies and IP stack (for example Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Ocularis, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, firewalls, VPN gateways, proxies, etc.)High degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system supportExperience in data integration and data analysis to support expanding product portfolioExperience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack)Demonstrable experience of strong project management for successful PoC’sEvidence of effectively adding value as a Global team memberEvidence of working effectively remotely and independentlyKnowledge and experience implementing and managing relational database solutions, in-particular Microsoft/Azure SQL, an advantagePractical knowledge of SAN technologies (EMC, HP 3Par, etc.) an advantageDon’t meet every single requirement?
