OverviewWe are supporting a leading international renewable energy company in its expansion in Italy. The company develops and operates wind, solar, battery energy storage and is looking to strengthen its technical team with a Senior Project Engineer based in Milan.This is a strategic position, offering the opportunity to be the primary technical point of contact for renewable energy projects, supporting development from feasibility and permitting through to construction.Key ResponsibilitiesProject DevelopmentConduct site assessments and constraints analysis.Support layout design and energy yield calculations.Prepare permitting documentation and liaise with regulatory authorities.Provide engineering support to achieve timely permitting.Manage specific work packages in support of the development team.Collaborate with internal competence centers for wind, PV, and BESS optimization.Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.Coordinate third-party technical contracts and consultants.Support MET campaigns and wind resource analysis.Grid ConnectionIdentify and design technical solutions for grid connections.Coordinate grid connection processes with DSOs/TSOs, from preliminary requests to physical connection.Manage technical and administrative aspects of grid integration.Construction SupportSupervise executive design and technical specifications.Liaise with equipment and service providers.Provide engineering support for equipment selection.Support construction monitoring and progress tracking.Candidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceUniversity degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy projects, preferably wind and solar.Experience with project management and energy modeling tools (e.g., PVSyst, WindPro).Familiarity with Italian regulatory standards and permitting processes.Knowledge of solar PV system design and grid integration.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex project timelines.Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.Fluent in Italian and English.Willingness to travel occasionally within Italy.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob function / IndustriesIndustries: Solar Electric Power Generation and Wind Electric Power GenerationReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Morson Talent by 2xGet notified about new Renewable Energy Engineer jobs in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
