Inuka is working with a leading renewable energy company to hire a Senior Project Manager – BESS, based in Milan. The role will oversee the full technical delivery of utility‑scale battery energy storage projects, ensuring high‑quality engineering, smooth execution, and successful commissioning across Italy and broader Europe.Responsibilities:Lead the technical planning, coordination, and execution of BESS projects from early design through to commissioning.Manage engineering workflows, ensuring designs, specifications, studies, and modelling outputs meet required standards.Coordinate with grid operators, technical consultants, and EPC partners to secure approvals, resolve constraints, and ensure compliance.Oversee procurement activities related to batteries, inverters, transformers, and balance‑of‑plant equipment, evaluations and contract inputs.Monitor construction progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and performance requirements.Drive project schedules, budgets, and risk management processes, escalating issues where necessary.Support testing, commissioning, and performance validation of BESS systems.Provide technical documentation, reporting, and updates to internal leadership and external stakeholders.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strengthening in‑house energy storage expertise.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Systems Engineering.8–12 years of experience delivering large‑scale power or energy storage projects, with strong technical exposure to BESS.Proven ability to manage engineering interfaces, EPC contractors, and grid‑related processes.Solid understanding of BESS design, system integration, controls, commissioning, and safety standards.Strong project management skills, with experience running complex infrastructure projects.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionOtherIndustriesServices for Renewable Energy
