The Senior Project Engineer, reporting to the EMEA SC Program Director, plays a key role in leading and executing capital investment projects. This position is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of engineering projects ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.
Operating in a dynamic and international environment, the role requires advanced technical expertise, strategic project management capabilities, and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and external partners.
The Senior Project Engineer contributes to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and infrastructure, supporting the long‑term growth and transformation of the business.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support in the design, development, purchase, installation, commissioning, start‑up, operation, maintenance and improvement of machinery, support systems, building and infrastructure.
Develop technical solutions and validate them with stakeholder’s involvement.
Work with partners at preliminary design meetings to develop specifications based on safety, quality, production and ergonomics requirements.
Participate in operational improvement activities.
Be responsible for developing and adhering to the project timeline in coordination with internal project stakeholders and vendors.
Develop the project budget, plans and controls expenses within the allocated budget, execute financial activities related to the role (forecast updates, fixed asset in‑service, etc.)
Prepare CAAPs in accordance with best practice procedures.
Ensure follow‑up of suppliers and coordination of internal/external stakeholders.
Coordinate the integration and commissioning of equipment.
Check the performance of installations (FAT, SAT).
Engage the inspection bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Plan and coordinate with factory teams’ trainings for users.
Ensuring the increase in efficiency until contractual performance is achieved and final acceptance of equipment and infrastructure.
Participate in the optimization of existing equipment and contribute to the continuous improvement of industrial sites.
Develop effective professional relationships with suppliers.
Work in close collaboration with the Factory, Purchasing, Marketing, Copacking, Packaging, R&D, Finance, HR, Security, Supply Chain.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Higher education in the field of engineering: mechanical, chemical, industrial or process engineering.
Proven experience as Project Engineer in FMCG (ideally Specialty Flavours), Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry.
Experience and proven success in managing simultaneously multiple capital projects of significant value from evaluation through implementation stages. Experience in major site transformation or creation is a plus.
Advanced technical expertise in mechanical and piping specialties with proven experience in wet processes and good knowledge in other specialties such as civil, structural and electrical.
Good expertise in ATEX risk management.
Perfect knowledge of the processes and procedures relating to all stages of a capital project (EEM experience is a plus).
Excellent communication, leadership and management skills in a matrix and international environment.
Ability to develop strong relationships with vendors, good negotiation skills.
Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent.
