OverviewSenior Project Controls Engineer — Location: Warrington (mixture of home, office and client sites). Employment type: Permanent. Hours: Full time with flexible core hours.About this opportunityGleeds Energy Project Controls team has grown tremendously over the past 12 months, and we are looking to further grow by recruiting a Senior Project Controls Engineer. In this role you will play a critical part in the support and delivery of major, complex projects, particularly within the defence sector.Your day to day could look likeMaintain and monitor the cost control accountReport on performance using Earned Value analysisDevelop and implement accurate technical cost capture methodologySAP analysis and collation of cost dataEstablish project budgets from estimates, track committed costs and forecast cost to completionEvaluation Change control and the impact on ProjectsCollaborating with Project Managers and stakeholders to provide cost-related insights and recommendationsSupport the assurance of cost reportingProduction of performance packs for Senior ManagementTrend analysis, KPI and milestone reportingUtilise different and appropriate cost techniques in development of benchmarking, audit or independent analysisProvide knowledgeable input into the cost process, guidance and development / coaching of wider cost communityUnderstand other project controls elements such as planning, earned value, progress measurement, change control pre- and post-contractHowever, in the consultancy world, no two days are the same!
