The organization is a Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), specializing in space manufacturing and delivering high‑tech solutions across telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, and science. The role is central to ensuring mission success by designing and maintaining the power subsystem for space systems.
Responsibilities

Analyze power requirements at system level, derive lower‑level requirements, and produce relevant unit or S/S specification.
Define power system architecture based on received requirements.
Create power interfaces among power items and users.
Perform analysis on power sources (solar array, battery, fuel cell, etc.) for sizing and performance evaluation.
Define performance, interface, and test requirements for the power system and power sources.
Specify and review technical documentation: Subsystem/Unit technical specification, Technical Notes/Analysis, Test Specification and reports.
Participate in technical meetings with subcontractors and/or clients.

Qualifications

Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
Experience in power electronic systems or power unit design.
Strong knowledge of energy production with solar panels.
Capability in power analysis and circuit simulation.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, MathCad, Visual Basic, and Spice.
English (mandatory); French (optional).
Availability for medium business trips in Italy or abroad.

Location: Caselle Torinese, Piedmont, Italy. Medium travel to Italy or abroad is required.
