Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.We are looking for a Senior Power Subsystem EngineerThe main activities of the Power Subsystem Engineer for space systems include:Analyze the power requirements at the system level, derive lower-level requirements, and prepare relevant unit or subsystem specifications.Define the power system architecture based on received requirements.Define power interfaces among power items and with power users.Perform analysis on power sources (e.g., solar array, battery, fuel cell) for sizing and performance evaluation.Define performance, interface, and test requirements for the power system and sources.Specify and review technical documentation such as subsystem/unit specifications, technical notes/analyses, test specifications, and reports.Manage and/or participate in technical meetings with subcontractors and clients.Educational RequirementsDegree in Electronics or equivalent.Job ExperienceExperience in power electronic system or power unit design.Strong knowledge of energy production with solar panels.Capability of performing power analysis and circuit simulation.Knowledge of software tools such as MS Office, Matlab/Simulink, MathCad, Visual Basic, Spice.LanguagesEnglish (mandatory)French (optional)OthersAvailability for medium business trips in Italy or abroad.At Thales Alenia Space, we provide careers, not just jobs.
