We were meant to fly.As Senior Lean Transformation Leader you will drive cultural transformation and operational excellence through the application of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's proprietary Lean-based management system.This role involves coaching, driving, and leading Lean Transformation Leader behaviors, principles, and tools across an operational or functional area.The primary focus is to develop the proficiency of the leadership team and employees in applying these fundamentals to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance, resulting in significant improvements in operational business metrics.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with the site leadership team to implement FLIGHT DECK practicesDrive a change in operating mindset and ensure the Lean and management system fundamentals of FLIGHT DECK are effectively applied in support of strategic and operational business plansDevelop the proficiency of the leadership team and employees in applying FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performanceLead and coach teams in the application of FLIGHT DECK tools and principles to achieve operational excellenceFoster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceMonitor and report on the progress of FLIGHT DECK implementation and its impact on business metricsQualifications/RequirementsMaster's Degree in STEM subjects, including EconomicsStrong experience in leading operations in mature Lean companiesProven ability to drive outcomes in large, matrixed organizations, understanding how to navigate geographies, cultures and relationshipsDemonstrated ability to solve complex problems and transform results and processes through the application of Lean techniquesLean practitioner, capable of facilitating Kaizen events and coaching core tools such as Daily Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Management, Standard Work, and Transactional Process ImprovementExperience in transforming processes from traditional "batch and queue" to "flow and pull" preferredChange agent, able to make the case for lean and demonstrate immediate impactHighly collaborative, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with changeCritical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting prioritiesImpactful communicator from the shop floor to the board roomFluent in English and Italian, both written and oralWork Visa, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programsProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes hybrid work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
