Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled technical leader to join our team. As the R&D IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM), you will be responsible for managing the R&D IT operations and serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business goals and strategies.

Strategic Partnership & Alignment
Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business goals and strategies.
Build and nurture strategic partnerships to drive value and success across business and IT teams.
Develop and maintain comprehensive IT roadmaps that support multi‑year investment planning and business objectives (using frameworks like BATS).
Demand & Portfolio Management
Lead portfolio intake and demand management, evaluating and prioritizing new project requests and enhancements.
Participate in approval processes (e.g., PBR/ARB) to ensure projects meet business needs and strategic direction.
Own and maintain the process for aligning technology investments with business imperatives and value streams.
Relationship Management
Monitor and continuously improve IT services based on stakeholder feedback, changing business needs, and emerging technologies.
Business Needs Assessment & Solutioning
Assess current and future business needs, identifying opportunities for technology to support and improve business functions.
Guide teams in adopting new technologies and resolving issues, acting as a strategic advisor.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Foster strong communication and trust with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for business‑related IT requirements, escalation, and issue resolution.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure IT initiatives and projects are integrated and compliant with broader business strategies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
Collaborate with Infosec and other teams for incident management, compliance reviews, and audits.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the R&D IT operations and serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units to align technology solutions.
Oversee IT Partners to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and systems
Provide oversight of end‑user support for laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT‑related equipment.
Ensure efficient onboarding of new employees and manage the offboarding/exit process for departing employees.
Coordinate with the Compliance team to support GxP workstations and IT QA activities, including IQ/OQ and computer system validation.
Monitor the helpdesk ticketing queue and SLA adherence.
Provide support/advice for R&D lab equipment integration & IT tools implementation as per standard framework.
Manage the budget forecast, including annual Capex/OpEx forecast and tracking, and approve invoices for various IT costs.
Coordinate with IT procurement for new application/tools procurement & vendor management.
Coordinate with Infosec for any security incidents and participate in regular compliance reviews & audits.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 10‑12 years of experience in IT, with a focus on R&D IT operations and management.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems, including networking, telecom, audio/video, and conferencing.
Good understanding of R&D laboratory tools/applications in Pharma/Med‑device environment.
Strong understanding of GxP workstations and IT QA activities, including IQ/OQ and computer system validation.
Experience with helpdesk ticketing and SLA adherence.
Good knowledge of local data center support, including server/storage, Linux infra, and regular health monitoring, OS patches, and updates.
Experience with backup and restoration, BCP/DRP documentation, and yearly testing.
Strong understanding of applications and tools support.
Experience with IT procurement and vendor management.
Strong knowledge of budget forecasting and tracking, and invoice approval.
Must have bilingual skills – Italian & English.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex IT issues.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
