You will debug RTL in simulation, synthesize and implement it to meet timing and performance requirements, deploy RTL onto hardware targets, and debug issues that arise in RTL, hardware, or software. You will provide subject‑matter expertise in architectural discussions and strategic planning meetings.Team OverviewWe develop AWS‑owned hardware solutions to scale globally, minimize cost, and maximize value for our customers. We foster a culture of knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous learning.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.5+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.7+ years of non‑internship professional RTL development experience.3+ years developing programmable logic in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA SOCs.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.7+ years of full RTL development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Experience developing programmable logic for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGAs, Versal ACAPs, and/or Intel Agilex SOCs.Experience developing programmable logic for 100G networking systems.Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.Security ClearanceThis position requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
