Job Description
Are you ready to lead a transformative journey in industrial measurement solutions across Europe? We're seeking a visionary leader to drive our Measurement Solutions Lifecycle Services & Engineered Solutions (MSS) business to new heights of customer dedication, innovation, and growth!
As Senior Director, you'll orchestrate our mission to redefine customer experience within an $80M+ business unit with double-digit growth expectations. You will focus on building relevancy and expertise within capital projects while extracting value from the critical installed base of Measurement Solutions across Europe. You'll lead a diverse team of talented professionals, building a culture of safety, innovation, and customer-centricity while driving substantial business growth.
This role offers the opportunity to develop the future of MSS in Europe while being part of a global organization committed to innovation, operational excellence, and customer success.
This role can be based at any Emerson Europe location that is close to a major (international) airport.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
Strategic Growth Leadership
Drive MSS trade order growth across all product groups through strategic customer relationship management and market development in application categories such as fiscal custody transfer, process gas solutions, sustainability, and LNG segments;
Lead implementation of MSS global growth programs and commercial excellence initiatives across European markets;
Express MSS trade sales revenue within the POR planning process while achieving superior Net Progress Outstanding (NPO) performance;
Customer & Market Excellence
Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships in alignment with MSOL and Emerson objectives;
Deploy "digital first" service strategies and standardized commercial processes from the Global Sales Leader and Commercial Management Office;
Supervise competitive landscape and gather customer insights to drive product development and service improvement;
Organizational Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing European team exemplifying Emerson Core Values;
Collaborate optimally with Global Operations (Pune, Cluj, SEA hubs) and matrix organization stakeholders;
Optimize European organizational structure in alignment with Global MSS strategy.
Who You Are
You model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions. You take a proactive approach to shape and influence customer expectations. You readily distinguish between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to make sense of complex situations.
For This Role, You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; MBA preferred;
8+ years experience in industrial services/measurement solutions with 5+ years management experience;
Proven track record driving growth in technical service businesses within European markets;
Strong understanding of measurement solutions, lifecycle services, and asset management;
Demonstrated ability building strategic customer relationships and implementing commercial processes;
Excellent communication skills in multiple European languages;
Ability to travel domestically within Europe 40-50%;
Legal authorization to work in Europe;
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
Experience with Emerson products or similar industrial automation technologies;
Background in services transformation or "service as business" models;
Track record of digital transformation and matrix organization leadership.
