Our client, a growing player in the European renewable energy space, is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to help drive the delivery of large-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the continent.This is a key position for a commercially minded project leader with deep knowledge of the renewables sector. The role is remote in Italy, with travel to manage partners, projects, and stakeholders.Role Overview :You will be responsible for leading renewable energy projects from initial opportunity through to construction readiness. Key responsibilities include :Sourcing and evaluating new project opportunities across wind, solar, and storageDriving progress across all phases of project development, including permitting, land access, and grid connectionManaging relationships with joint venture partners, local authorities, and external consultantsOverseeing project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure successful deliveryMaintaining up-to-date records, maps, and reporting tools for project trackingSupporting commercial strategy and market analysisContributing to the development of best-practice processes across multiple jurisdictionsAssisting with technical and commercial due diligence for potential acquisitionsCollaborating with internal teams during engineering, procurement, and construction stagesWhat We’re Looking For :50+ years’ experience in renewable energy development, ideally with utility-scale wind, solar, or storage projectsSolid knowledge of land, permitting, and interconnection processesProven ability to manage cross-border projects and third-party relationshipsStrong communication and organisational skillsProficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantageMust be based in Italy and able to travel regularly within EuropeWhy Apply?This is a rare chance to join a well-funded, forward-thinking organisation with ambitious growth plans.
