We are looking for future members of our team, eager for innovation and achievement, in a competitive environment.We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the design of F1 car composite parts, from the studies of layout installations to the patterns, moulds, tools, jigs. You will also be responsible for enhancing the development of more efficient design processes and mentorship of less experienced designers.ResponsibilitiesComposite Design: Act on the composite design process, from conceptualization to detailed design of parts and related tools, ensuring integration of innovative and high-performance solutions.Ensure designed parts are legal and in line with the F1 Technical Regulation.Utilize expertise to contribute to the development of lightweight, reliable and aerodynamically efficient composite components.Responsible for final sign-off on the design release within the group (if required).Cover the reliability needs for designed parts, in collaboration with related departments.Provide availability to attend remote support from the Factory (Operation Room) during some race/track events.Mentorship and InnovationProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (aerodynamics, concept, track side, and other engineering disciplines) to integrate composite design into the car design.Work with the Composite Design Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the team.Act as primary point of contact for technical guidance on tasks assigned to designers.Work with suppliers and external partners to source high-quality materials and components.Maintain effective communication with other departments and stay at the forefront of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and industry advancements.Demonstrate flexible attendance and attitude to work in line with role requirements and project needs.Experience and QualificationsUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.Extensive experience in composite design, particularly in high-performance automotive or motorsports.In-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.Proficiency in software tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; flexible, proactive attitude.Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines; initiative and innovation.Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced environment.What we offerWorking in a young, collaborative and international environment.Tailored training.Company events / briefings.Annual salary review process.Company contributed pension scheme.Cycle to work scheme.Job detailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Design and OtherCesena, Emilia-Romagna, ItalyRavenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy
