This role is crucial for ensuring that our digital platforms are scalable, secure, and cost-optimized while maintaining operational excellence through automated deployment pipelines.ResponsibilitiesDrive cloud cost optimization initiatives, implementing FinOps best practices to reduce infrastructure spendingDesign and implement automated cost monitoring, alerting, and governance frameworksLead the development and maintenance of comprehensive Terraform modules and configurations for all AWS infrastructure componentsEstablish Terraform best practices, state management strategies, and module reusability standardsDesign and implement robust CI/CD pipelinesImplement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or similar toolsLead the adoption of containerization strategies with ECS/EKS optimization and orchestration.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAt least 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years focused on cloud technologiesExpert-level experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning and management (minimum 3 years)Proven track record in cloud cost optimization with demonstrated savings achievementsStrong DevOps background with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline design and implementationExtensive experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, VPC, Route 53, IAM, Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor)Experience with ECS/EKS optimization and container orchestration in AWS Cloud environmentProficiency with version control systems (Git), automation tools, and configuration managementStrong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud environmentKnowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPCExperience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)Ability to mentor Cloud Engineers and DevOps team members.Preferred QualificationsAWS Professional Certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) are highly preferredAWS Associate Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator) are mandatoryHashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification is a strong plusExperience with additional IaC tools (CloudFormation, Pulumi, CDK)Knowledge of FinOps frameworks and cost management tools (AWS Cost and Usage Reports, third-party tools like CloudHealth, Cloudability)Experience with security scanning and compliance tools (AWS Config, Security Hub, third-party tools)Background in a similar role within the technology or edTech sectorsExperience in a small team or startup environment where cost efficiency is criticalFamiliarity with multi-cloud strategies and hybrid cloud architectures
