Position Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Buyer - Forgings in Rivoli (TO).
Reporting to the Commodity Manager, this position is responsible to lead all strategic and operational procurement activities in assigned commodities.
The Senior Buyer - Forgings ensures purchasing leverages in order to maximize regional results and global synergies while executing a professional sourcing of products.
Main opportunities and challenges
Support Commodity Manager in developing strategy by sub-categories
Responsible for the deployment and monitoring of the assigned category strategy and policy
Maintain continuous benchmark through existing suppliers and promote new markets opportunities
Responsible for new product launch (rfq – suppliers negotiations – award new business - orders/contracts)
Cross-Functional Support related to suppliers issue (quality – capacity – deliveries)
Lead suppliers va/ve initiatives and process
Drive suppliers base optimization, according to industrial / company strategy and business requirements
Ensure, for the competence area, the application of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System
Ensure, for the competence area, the correct application of the Quality System procedures
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Buyer will be responsible to promote and support purchasing activities with reference to FORGINGS and MACHINED FORGINGS for certain sub-categories within european ax components scope, supporting strategic definition and related deployment for the assigned suppliers and sub-categories.
The new resource will be in charge of securing the right quality, delivery performance, costs, features, technology, sustainability and risk management. In addition to the operational purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, the new resource will be responsible for ensuring sourcing activities, following dedicated processes, performed on global scale, empowered on all deliverables at consolidated commodity level.
The new resource will be responsible for negotiations/agreements.
Job Position Requirements
Education
University bachelor degree - Mechanical Eng., Management Eng. or Economics
Professional background
Buyer or senior buyer with min 3 years of experience, with knowledge of mechanical / metal forming categories (preferred), who has worked in a multinational environment, automotive, railway, white goods or industrial.
