Responsibilities

Ensures the reliability of the company’s administrative and accounting operations, working closely with Management to achieve both company and Group objectives.
Manages and coordinates the general accounting of the GXO Group in Italy, ensuring the correct accounting treatment of business transactions in accordance with Italian GAAP and US GAAP.
Defines and implements new processes and procedures to optimize administrative and accounting activities, coordinating with both branch offices and other central business functions.
Actively contributes to the preparation of the annual financial statements and consolidated financial reports, maintaining operational relationships with relevant stakeholders (auditors/statutory auditors/consultants).
Monitors and analyzes personnel accounting.
Oversees periodic accounting and tax compliance (e.g., income tax returns, VAT declarations, etc.).
Regularly interfaces with Group Accounting contacts at the Regional and Corporate levels on accounting and reporting matters, as well as with the Group’s Treasury, Internal Audit, and FP&A teams.
Collaborates with other business areas to ensure compliance with administrative procedures and full adherence to SOX requirements.

Skills and Requirements

Degree in Economics or related fields;
At least 8 years of experience in an Accounting department, preferably within multinational companies and/or in the logistics and transportation sector;
Knowledge of Italian GAAP and US GAAP;
Excellent command of the English language;
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software;
Knowledge of AS400 and Oracle is a plus;
Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, flexibility, accuracy, punctuality, confidentiality, problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
