RINA is currently recruiting for a Seismic Hazard Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Rome or Milan, Italy within the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division.MissionRINA Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated seismic hazard modeler to join our Engineering Seismology team to undertake in-depth seismic hazard analysis projects for the growing range of national and international clients. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detailed-oriented and responsible of his/her technical duties. Capable of working autonomously and under supervision, interfacing and coordinating with other peers, the candidate will work on challenging offshore and onshore projects, providing consultancy mainly on seismic related issues.Key AccountabilitiesAbility to develop seismotectonic models from a range of data, including earthquake catalogues, geological/geophysical information and active fault dataWith a good understanding of probability and statistics the candidate will be expected to have or gain proficiency in all steps of seismic hazard modellingExcellent report writing skillsEnglish is usually the working language at RINA, proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
