Security Program SpecialistServes as a security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program.Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program.Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues.Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization.RequirementsAll new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.Position is designated as special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to SCI, other Sensitive information, or involvement in Special Access Programs. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.PCS expenses are authorized and will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.Must be registered for Selective Service.This position is a Testing Designated Position. Employee must pass initial and periodic drug testing.Travel on military and commercial aircraft may be required.Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification are required within 2 years of employment.Employee must maintain current certifications.Position is designated Emergency Essential and Mission-Critical-Function, requiring duties during crises and emergencies.QualificationsMust meet the experience requirements outlined in OPM standards for General Schedule Positions. This GG-12 position in DCIPS is equivalent to GS-12 level duties.Examples of qualifying experience include knowledge of security specialties, concepts, principles, and practices, as well as the intelligence enterprise to support information sharing and strategies.Qualifications will be evaluated based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies in the following areas:Knowledge of security specialties, concepts, principles, and practices.Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise for information sharing.Knowledge of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.Skill in analyzing and evaluating security programs.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to establish effective professional relationships.Part-time, unpaid, or volunteer experience is creditable if duties and hours are clearly identified.
