The Security Engineer will work directly with development teams on complex emerging projects to understand their system and business needs, helping them build secure platforms and solutions.The “Product Security Team” is a global group supporting product security topics across Telit R&D divisions worldwide. The group is part of Telit’s Global R&D division, focusing on cloud platforms and IoT embedded modules (from NB-IoT to 5G).COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSEducation and Training: A STEM degree.Responsibilities:Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans.Interpret and support adherence to international cybersecurity regulations and standards.Enhance support for developers by working directly with them to understand security requirements.Design and develop security automation solutions to optimize security operations.Share technical security information and emerging cyber risks related to Telit products within the organization.Requirements:4+ years of experience in embedded systems development and/or embedded security engineering.Relevant experience in embedded security with a strong understanding of security concepts, including secure boot, hardware-based security, and authentication mechanisms.Hands-on knowledge of security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques.Experience with security testing tools, vulnerability management tools, and secure development environments.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Linux, AOSP, or RTOS.Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.Knowledge of software development methodologies, code reviews, and version control.Understanding of secure coding practices, including mitigation of common vulnerabilities.Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, key management, and secure communication protocols.Familiarity with embedded architectures like ARM and related security architectures.
